Transforming Perceptions

These past few years have brought a whirlwind of emotions between becoming employed, moving half-way across the country, and finally having the ability to focus on myself, my weight loss, and my faith. This blog is a reflection of all of these items and how they interact with each other.

Isaiah 58:11-12 (NIV)

11 The Lord with guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
Isaiah 58:11-12 (NIV)

I think Isaiah 58:11 should be read by any man or woman serving our nation. The Lord with guide you and strengthen you in your need, and you will never go without if you believe.

I enjoy verse 12 because as a community, we can always rebuild (after Oklahoma City bombings, 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, etc). I also see this verse personally and on an individual basis, repairing broken walls that may have been shattered along the way in some kind of journey.
